Land Partnership Opportunity

Borinken Farm is looking for a land partnership in the Fraser Valley.

We are seeking landowners who may have unused or underused land and are interested in supporting a small, family-run farm project with community value.

We are looking for a respectful, clear, mutually beneficial arrangement where we can cultivate a manageable portion of land and invest care, labour, and infrastructure over time.

What We Are Looking For

Ideal starting land access:

Approximately 0.5 acre active cultivation space
Access to water or ability to set up irrigation
Space for a small greenhouse
Space for a wash and pack station
Space for tool storage
Vehicle access
Possibility of future expansion
Ideally 1–3 acres total available over time, but we can begin smaller

Long-term vision: Our 5-year goal is to secure a mortgage through the business. In British Columbia, a business can qualify for a mortgage when it demonstrates the income needed to support the payments. We are giving ourselves five years to build to that point, with the dream of owning our own property where our children can live and grow indefinitely.

Why This Could Benefit a Landowner

A partnership with Borinken Farm may offer:

Productive use of unused land
Land care and regular presence
Gradual improvement of soil and infrastructure
Potential farm-status support, if applicable and verified
Local food production
A family-centered and community-minded tenant
Possible produce sharing or other mutually agreed benefits
A clear three-year plan instead of a vague idea

We want to build trust slowly and communicate clearly.

Our Approach to Rent

We understand that land lease rates vary depending on location, access, infrastructure, water, fencing, housing, and available acreage.

For a small starting cultivation area, we are open to discussing a modest monthly lease amount at the beginning, with the understanding that rent can be reviewed as the farm develops, revenue grows, and the land partnership becomes more established.

We are also open to discussing other benefits such as produce sharing, land improvement, infrastructure investment, and seasonal support.

Final lease terms would be discussed respectfully with the landowner and reviewed in writing.

Important Note

All numbers on this website are planning estimates only. Farm income projections, lease terms, farm-status requirements, taxes, permits, insurance, and land-use rules should be verified with the appropriate advisors, Young Agrarians, local government, and agricultural professionals before final decisions are made.
