Borinken Farm
A developing small-scale market garden and food project based in Chilliwack, BC.
Our goal is to grow fresh produce, garlic, herbs, seedlings, and future value-added food products while building a family-centered farm business rooted in food security, cultural food traditions, and responsible land stewardship.
Borinken Farm will begin as a small market garden and grow gradually over three years.
What We Plan to Grow
Borinken Farm will focus on crops that are practical for small-scale production, direct sales, farmers markets, and future value-added products.
Garlic is one of our main long-term crops because it stores well, has strong market potential, can be used for seed stock, and fits both fresh market sales and value-added food production.
Our First-Year Goal
In Year 1, Borinken Farm will focus on establishment. The goal is not to grow too fast. The first year is about building the foundation properly:
Year 1 Conservative Revenue Goal
$7,000 – $10,000
This number is intentionally conservative because the first year will focus on farm establishment, seed stock building, and learning the land.
